Im really feeling for my younger brother at the moment , hes having a hell of a time with his (late fathers) car ... a 2004 Mondeo .
He had overheating problems , which turned out to be a crack in the plastic tank above the radiator ... fixed ... $150.
Next morning , it wont start ... turns over but wont fire, call the AA , and was told it was flooded , but got it going.
Back to the shop .... ah yes... it needs new plugs (platinum tipped $30 something each +time) drove home no problem .... next morning wont start
Original place is too busy to look at it so they farm it out to someone else ... put it on the machine ... ahh , it needs new leads and a coil ..$514!! .
Car was running when he picked it up ... so off he went. This morning ... you guessed it ... wont start ! AA arrive and announce ... its flooded , even that guy couldnt start it.
So on a truck and back to the shop ..... ongoing.
Almost a grand has gone to these turkeys and its still not right.
Sam is a bit of a softy (even at 6ft8" and 100+kg) and wont say much ... i however, am happy to go in boots first , and will do so, if this isn't sorted by lunch time on Thursday ... and NO more money will be exchanged .
None of this was going on before the water tank was replaced .... and i know there is no relation between the two ... but maybe , in changing the tanks over they disturbed something ?
Either way , they can and will fix it . <_<
Fingers crossed , mine is going ok
