Tiny V tailed wonders

Ive been watching this nest for the past few weeks ... and the other day i spotted these little guys .
Not long after i took the photo , they were perched on the light cable ...... mum and dad came back (said something in Swallow talk) and the whole family went flying !!
Those little ones dont even have a proper tail ..... but boy , can they fly.
A brief sortie , and back to the nest . I have yet to see an aircraft that can manoeuvre like these little things ... just amazing.
The nest is located in my workshop roof .... at work.

Awwww...
Cute as they are, we had swallows nest in the carport.
Last thing at night, they would do the swoop to nest and relieve themselves en route - down the entire length of whatever vehicle was parked there!

I ended up hanging CD's from the roof which made them seek new lodgings.
Sad to see them go, but it saved a whole lot of cleaning.
(Poop is quite corrosive if left.)

Tried to get better look in the nest today .... but mum and dad swallow attacked me
So i gave up ... nasty little critters

Awww... how cute.
I do like swallows, and they're not rowdy like most of the other imports
