I've often wondered, (as I mostly do), as New Zealand consists of two Islands; North and South, separated by a drop of water in between.....

Do folks living in the North Island sometimes/often wish that they lived in the South Island.....

...and vice versa....

...and for what reason?.... ....!

I like living in England.

Scotland is far too close to the North Pole.... .....
...and Wales is mostly full of Sheep..... ...!

I quite like England. I just wish that it was a bit warmer in the Winter months!.... ...!

The geography has a huge difference between temperatures, the South Island gets the extreme hot to the crappy snowy cold blizzards were North Island in again due to the geography the climate were more temperate , I found around the Coromandel the cold winter was like a cold summer in Christchurch, generally would be equal to Hamilton, that's my biking experience.

Thought the Central plateau NI even in summer that gets extremely cold , the wind blows around the Ruapehu and Tongariro National Park I've found the best road is the western side of National park also once through there from Raweti to Wanganui .. ideal biker roads.
