Amazing video Split Pin, did you notice a problem with DCS and where we take off? Heres another aircraft that Russia has that is carrier capable the Mig29K:



The problem with ski jump carrierops is that support aircraft are limited to helicopters and the aircraft has a lower max take off weight than using a catapult. So you have Tankers, Awacs, and Transport aircraft are possible if you use a catapult.

NICE ...... SUB ... I dont worry about details (AWACS on catapults etc) If it looks good ...it is good .

I was meaning the take off position on the deck, in DCS it is much further forward, while in both videos Mig29K and SU33 are launching next to the tower.

Amazing to see the different idea and launch practice , I think the ole Krusty is the only Rusky carrier left to handle the SUs .

The Chinese have a similar carrier which is ex Russian (Riga) and some new aircraft carriers.

Forgot the Chinese and there Russian buy, surprising since it was in the news last year with there expansion in the South China sea and the Pacific. Even the Australians have couple of carriers now with another two in the build ... they do say Helicopter carriers ... why build with ski jumps .. F-35s off course.
