Gawd !! Ive spent most of the day building some more of that warehouse flat pack stuff .... a lot of it in fact.

One single door (6ft cupboard) one 2 door the same size , a 2 door base unit , and a 2 door bit that fits on top ... Im not a handymans backside , but considering the shocking stuff i had to deal with , i think i did ok.
Ive mentioned before about the stuff these things are made of ... you can only drill it once (it falls apart .. Weetbix)) This lot had at least 30% of the screw holes not lined up.
I hate the hinges for the doors , i can never get the doors even ... but this time , not so bad.
Its not even for me .... one of the flatmates bought it .... all 4 HEAVY cartons , oh well ... its not that I had anything else to do ... like sitting in the sun reading .... a spot of fly fishing , nah .... lets deal to the flat pack

Will pop some pics up when its all in place ....

It's pretty shocking what sells as furniture these days aye Marty. Brace it all up with a few metal brackets in case ChCh goes all wobbly again.

Tell you what... go down to Placemakers and see if you can buy the hinges and screws for less than you pay for the whole shebang, flatpacked and shipped all the way from Thailand to the Red Shed!
It just amazes me they can do it.
I once bought one of those, threw away most of it, and used a few of the panels because it saved me half a day's work!

I bought a pair of pantries from Bunnings, and did the initial assembly under the house, on the tray of my trusty ute :D
A single pack weighed 65kg :o

Charl .... i found something very similar (units) at Mitre Ten , overall only about 10% more expensive .... and 110% better quality .... bugger.
Oh well , such is life.
