Nothing really .... but this evening my brother and were over at Mums place having a ciggi outside on the deck , and noticed a contrail .
What caught our attention was the direction it was moving . From the south east .
On closer inspection it turned out to be a four engined aircraft ... so , race off inside , fire up flight radar , and there it was .... the QANTAS Santiago / Sydney flight .

As i said nothing really , but confirming my status as a plane spotter

Well, 0635 Tuesday morn, I was walking up the street to get the bus to get the train to the museum in Bris-Bunn. A fine view of SQ235 ( I think), on descent for BNE, about to call 8000'...after the train passed Amberley, there was a contrail showing me where whatever flight it is these days was scooting towards NZCH. Walking up through town to the museum at about 0930, there was the Lufthansa/Singapore 777 heading back to KL, and then Europe.
