I guy did try this with a an old B-29 engine years back for a speed record and appropriately tried at the UTAH salt lakes, I can't find any information about it ... apparently worked but on a run the engine took over and both vehicle and driver were destroys ... this dates back to the 1960s so be interesting if there is anything related to it.
