As per the subject line ... whats going on in the world ?

In the last month we have seen the possible collapse of Europe ... and now the U.S descending into some race fueled , kill a cop fest .... the middle east even more unstable than ever.
I try really hard not to subscribe to conspiracy theories , or prediction and prophecy ...... but i have to admit , some of the stuff I've read and dismissed lately is , maybe worth a second read.

If "they" (you tell me who they are) are behind this unrest , i still cant see who , or what will gain in the end game .

Maybe its just too big for us to picture ( if its anything at all)

Sorry to sound vague , i should have worked my case a little harder before posting .... but to sum up , I believe , we are witnessing the end of days as we know them.

Fire at will , Im open to any and all, replies , responses, ideas , theories , criticism , abuse , praise, and of course ... MacDonalds vouchers (get in while you can)

It's hard not to take Noam Chomsky's 'ten steps to world domination' seriously at the moment, you can just about assign each step to one major news item I've seen this week. If you haven't yet see 'Requiem for the American Dream', then rush out and... see a comedy instead.
I've said before that one of the issues is that we are permanently and immediately connected to the world -- we watched the aftermath of Brexit live, and the recent cop killings in the US was live-streamed on Facebook. So while it seems that things are getting worse, I think that it's pretty much business as usual.
However, I have been freaked this week looking at the US, I mean it is just one country, but two races seemingly at war. The absolute futility and stupidity of it just boggles the mind.
Brexit was a major kick in the nuts mainly because it seemed to be an entire nation deciding not to do the 'right' thing, and to go backward rather than forward, but that was notable simply because it was unexpected -- generally there has been a lot of forward movement worldwide, towards a 'better' world, so we tend to notice when it goes another way.
Personally I learned a lot from Brexit -- I learned that you don't always have to do the best thing, or the right thing, sometimes you can make a stand for some other reason than common sense -- I've been doing it myself lately, and it is quite invigorating!
Europe has raised itself up from absolute carnage to a great place to visit, it ain't perfect, but I think it's come a long way in a thousand years.
This week I have seen half a dozen amazing things that people have done to help other people right in my own town, and I am happy to let them affect me as much or more than some calamity elsewhere in the world.

I'll tell you what I think Chums..... ....

The United States of America is finally starting to rue the day that they "imported" all the folks from Africa as slaves many moons ago....

...trust me!

The place is now teaming with "African" criminals creating mayhem by their nature, and filling up the prisons.

I read the daily news from all around the USA e-mailed to me, and its a horror story!

Criminality, in one way or another, drugs, guns, racial-tension, etc, is a way of life for citizens in the USA, and the whole North American Continent is slowly going down the pan....I reckon.

The scenery is breath-taking....

..its the citizens who live there which worry/ terrify me!

The USA is a very unhappy place.

One thing said to me now 28 hours back .. "you said this would happen" , same is going to happen in other hots-pots and not Just the US, trouble is media gets in on the deal and expands the confrontation .. if I was born in 1962 and still very clearly recall the then 'back off the head shooting' on the then NZBC - TV1 News during the Vietnam War (I do have the stills here) .. IF I'm 10 back then and remember that like yesterday on old style camera footage .. what dose the today's 5 plus to 10 year old's see ..

I get reprimanded and told not to post such thing regard to lingo and being offensive but the fact is "OPEN YOUR EYES" .. it is happening everywhere and the best thing to stop it for a starter is to openly post with all the JIBBER JIBBER !

What surprised me was the well-publicised Brexit "instantly uncorked" racism in Britain.
Apparently alive and well all over the world, then.

It's all rather ghastly huh Marty. The short answer is, as usual.. "money". It fuels the fire of every other conflict and it drives a wedge between us all at every level.

The long answer IMHO, is .. "increasing selfishness across the socio-economic spectrum and decreasing empathy and compassion for our fellow man/woman and the planet and organisms we share it with"

It's a dog eat dog world. The first concern of everyone is their back-pocket. Everything else is secondary. As a result we are compelled (often in small and subtle ways, whether we notice it or not) to do things against our better judgement in the line of duty, i.e. because we are expected to do these things, if we don't we lose our job/funding/money.. and we cant have that can we.

The only think I can think of that might help is to do our best at every opportunity to influence anyone we know at a personal or direct level who is in a position of authority (i.e. can exert financial, social or physical force over others) to be more compassionate, to not just blindly do what their masters demand.

I may be dreaming, but what else is there?

It happens in our own backyards , I look and study and say to myself that's it .. enough is enough, a good example was, the siege I was under two plus years ago, my tolerance for these types of people disappeared thirty to forty years ago ....

This is were I'm the lucky now , I'm protected have everything I want and more than willing to share it , tho appear to be aggressive .. that comes with my history.

I've Noticed many people may not like the way I speak, type or express myself but after being bombarded hence my stance on law change to ........ (was going to say a few nasty things) ... lets re-populated Christmas Island or something similar ... and this is only to clean up our own backyards!

That very much illustrates one big problem -- it's only natural to fall back to our enclaves, shut the gate and pull up the drawbridge, and that was always the 'natural' way to react to outside threats, but living in a society where we get benefits from all sorts of different people living all over the world, we really need to find another way. Once you are safely tucked away with your own people, you are not really likely to notice if/when anything improves outside, quite the opposite, you notice the infractions and actions which confirm that you were right to cut yourself off from people who are not like you.
Luckily there are always people -- some are politicians -- who keep on plodding trying to keep the walls down. The rest, who have withdrawn from it all, are never going to change or be part of the larger society, so they abruptly become part of the problem. Give a man a wall to sit behind, and the screen to sit in front of, and you have a real anti-social force.

The US problem is built on apartheid, but in a lot of places this has broken down over time, as it should, so things have become better. At the moment we are seeing a backlash, but that doesn't mean that things won't be better coming out the other side.

Most parts are in the fact , Criminals and Convicts , they breed offspring .. I have seen that .... and when the convicts are caught, to many - ' Daisy Fluff Twits' the who human rights, and that crap create the problem, this is what was a super quite .... Fairy's .. the offspring.

Yeah Well the Fairy's , I do notice what is outside and now track and seriously watch people , car plates and just the contempt'd looking types get a dis-scripted and lucky a photo , if I'm on edge like this , GOOD ON ME .. least Neighbours and people around me have that extra protection.

When the New Zealand Police do there job they nail it .. biggest problem is the JUSTICE system .. they simply let the worst walk cos no threat ? that is RUBBISH !

If i had to pick a theme emerging from your responses , it would be (generally ) compassion , and i agree ... but i think its too late , hope Im wrong.
The whole thing just leaves me feeling dejected , but Im working it .

Fewer police killed during Obama's administration.

There are people actually saying the opposite, which must increase fear and unease, and it suits the media to encourage this. But it doesn't make it true.

"Police Officers shot and killed".....

..says it all, in a country bursting with happy, gun-toting civilians, protected by their beloved; "Second Amendment"!

They are reaping what they have sown...and continue to sow!

The mention of the word; "Guns" sends a chill up my spine.

Off all things, the one thing the Police picked up on or at least me was a couple of Warships, you all know, the regulars that stop here, ... when evicted from home simply Police said I/we Rick had a better chance .. around my first years off work .. I was 16 or 17 close ..... that was it with family , the biggest thing tho was I got targeted again around 19 or 20 , one thing due the the area I lived in the Policeman recognized me with my models ... That really helped me , I then also detective and sort out possible's ... go's into a long story but I got the Barstard! ...

It then happens again by someone else ... so my 'Cut the hands off' to thieves stands ... Murder .. well ya know my thoughts ... and a recent Child abuse/kidnap ... I start to wonder even before the trigger .... NO I DON'T !
