Google Street View and Flight Sim

Postby Riddlez » Wed Oct 05, 2016 9:05 am

Hi everyone!

Been working on my Flight Sim website and have been doing some experimentation with the Google Street View APIs. It allows me to create my own Street View "world" using the 360 Street View container. I though it would be cool to use it for Flight Sim which would give the ability to create virtual tours of my airports.

I've created a street view for Bellingham that has I think 12 different 360 degree shots all linked together. It's a bit like those walkthroughs you can view of shops/business etc. It was a pain to make 360 screenshots in P3D, but I eventually found a process that works taking 16 screenshots and stitching them together.

Is there a way to embed the street view module into the forum here using BBcode too?

Here's the link to it anyway:

Excellent work! Love it and it does give a good chance to explore the airport and experience what you've done. I'm impressed with the fact that you've spent a lot of time on the interiors as this is often overlooked. Well done.
