Then again, I did spend a while the other evening looking through the Facebook page of a certain local photographer, and was totally engrossed -- some nice shots of my part of the world, Lyttelton Harbour, showing the stars at night:) I see a lot of photography portfolios, and it's not often I'm really impressed like I was then. Ian's right, you are a talented photographer, Greg!
Thanks Rob, I appreciate your interest and enthusiasm. It's always nice to get some positive feedback.
Here's another one for you . . . I took this in March but only just got around to processing it. I had been sidetracked by the others I took that night and forgot to come back to this one which I now think was one of the best of the evening!
Lyttelton on the left with Godley Head just showing in the mist. Diamond Harbour and Charteris Bay on the right. Oh yes, that big thing in the sky is the Milky way.

The white stuff over the harbour is low mist.
