Math question .

Postby Splitpin » Sun Nov 20, 2016 5:59 pm

I've just assembled a raised garden , a little one .
Its 1200x1200x400 ... how many 20 litre bags of garden mix will I need to fill it ?
I'm hopeless at volume equations <_<

Marty , I'm not a garden person, be cheaper to go to a garden supply and get half a trailer load .. the rest left over thro it on a patch of garden .. saves on the bags ... BOOB BANG DONE !

If i remember my maths correctly...28.8 bags, or 0.578 cubic metres
As Ian suggested it might be cheaper to get 1/2 a metre on a loan trailer from a landscape supplier

Thanks, gents .... great math JK  Her indoors has decided it's too high and will block the view of the garden , so now I need to dig a trench and bury half of it , therefore reducing by 50% the amount of soil  jeezzz .

 Rather than burying half, why not cut it in half ... thèn you get 2 low garden beds for the price of 1
