Got the tickets (for the Sunday) booked the flights .... 1215 on the Saturday direct to palmy.
Come home on the Monday , palmy to wellington , change planes and on to chc.
Found a motel , and booked a car.
The flight out on Monday is at 1700 (i think) so I'm hoping to catch some of the international stuff as it leaves Ohakea ... maybe.

Anyway , its all booked .

Wish I was going, you have a great time , I was invited to take my artwork and display but there is that other thing, be interesting to see who and what turns up.

Since I'm in Melbourne at the beginning of March, I figured I'd get my airshow fix for the year at Avalon.
Not sure what will turn up there...

Yep do that Marty. Looks like my missus is keen too, we'll probably make a weekend of it, stay in Ohakune and drive down early in the morning from there to try and beat the rush. Sounds like park-n-ride is the way to go rather than be stuck in car queues?

When do you guys reckon they'll release the show program, Im assuming some of the foreign machines will only be there on one day and not the other? I haven't seen a C17 in the flesh and REALLY want to see one of those bad boys operating.

I'd say your chances are good, one just barrelled over here out of Whenuapai at about 1,500ft!

Unconfirmed rumors at this stage deeknow , but at least 2 C-17's will be be onsite .

From the Airforce news it appears a A400 is coming. Did anyone see the aerosparks team fly over Welly yesterday pics would be much appreciated

Not that I ever take much notice until around two days near the time but 10 day forcast is sun all week, lets just touch wood it stays like that for the airshow.
