:ph43r: As you know , i have a banana tree / palm / sucker whatever .
I'm amazed at the rate it grows, two days ago a new leaf appeared, unrolled, and is now doing what it has to do.
Last night I noticed yet another leaf forming at the base of the new one , this morning it had grown a lot , so , this afternoon I took a measurement at 2pm the new leaf was 23cm long .... at 8pm tonight its 29cm :o

I really wish I had some way to timelapse photograph it , Ive never seen anything grow so fast .
At this rate I should be cropping on friday night

You have the saying "Sit there and watch the grass grow" well sit beside your plant and every 30 minutes on the dot, camera on tripod, take a photo :D

Amazing ... just checked it , and it's now 39cm.
I must charge up the camera and get some pics ... I've got him in my office for the night, it's really windy outside and I don't it damaged .
Inside temp at the moment is 27.4 , so it should be happy.

Avoid loud noises - Triffids home in on the source. And don't forget the salt!!!

 Mike , you and your Triffirds :D , they had a whooping great bush come tree in the old quarantine/furnest rubbish incinerator at Christchurch Intl in the the early/mid 1980s it had grown so big you had to walk around it and the entrance , the roof was a tree tunnel to get to the next stage , looked more like a palm tree but thrived on the heat just before walking into the decontamination hall .... SPOOKY!
