Mumble had a tumble

Great way to end the day ... not!
Stopping at Ma's (mumble ) tonight ... thank god.
Just about to have dinner , and as she turned to sit down .... bang , right in front of me .
Crashed onto a side table thingy , pulled down a lamp , food all over the place .
Anyway , determined quickly , no obvious injury's , fully conscious ... but i couldn't get her on her feet . My brother had just left so i called him back , and we got her off the floor.
Double check for breaks etc , but all clear. (she didn't want an ambo)
She is going to be very sore in the morning that's for sure.
Normally I sleep upstairs when I'm here , but tonight will be on the sofa downstairs ... just in case.

Its a big worry ... i cant be here every night , but i think my brother is thinking about coming back full time after this , which would be a great help.

I really feel for her , mentally she is as sharp as a tack ... editing / reviewing books ... lives on face book , shops up large online (large) but the old airframe just wont play the game anymore.

Anyway .... I'll take the day off on Wednesday , take her to the GP for a check over , and take it from there.

I really hate when that sorta thing happens .. as you said "sharp as a tack" yeah .. mind works but other parts for some reason just don't want to do ! .. I'll get the lawn mower out tomorrow now so nicely tuned , she should be able to hear the song of the cutting grass from here, that will pick her up !

Best wishes to Mumble, Marty!

I know the feeling...

....every time I wish to make a movement now, I spend some time making sure its alright to do so!

Sometimes the old "Semicircular Canals" aren't working as well as they should do, to keep me oriented correctly!

...easy to lose balance!

Watch out for "Mini Strokes", and low "Blood Pressure" as well!

I check my blood pressure and heart rate regularly, with a strap-on wrist monitor.

...mostly OK.... ....!

Paul.....I spend some time worrying about myself!.... ...!

Safety tip: Never risk standing on one leg at a time, at the top of the stairs, putting one's socks on!.... ....!

I think I know what your going through .My Mum and Dad are gone now . I went through the worry of it all. The falling over is hard on you physically emotionally. Takes a toll after a while.Hope your Mum is feeling better now.
