Lifes little pleasures

Well there are 4 things in my life that have a special place and bring a grin to my face.

1/ Flying ......RW or virtual.

2/ Cannot mention this one on the forum but you could probably guess.

3/ Good Coffee. Best when taken together with number 1 and after number 2.

4/ Red wine (best taken before number 3 and if number 2 is not on offer.

In order to enhance number 3 (possibly due to an easing off with number 2) I bit the bullet and upgraded my coffee machine. In fact I had no choice as my Sunbeam Cafe machine expired (which served me well even if it would wake the dead when being used).

I took out a small mortgage and went for the real McCoy preloved machine.

A Magister Stella Pro (with the E61 group head) as well as the Magister MMD6 Coffee Grinder.
Still finding my feet with it but getting some very good initial brews.

Behold the mighty Italian Magister.

Lovely, I've gone through a number of second-hand coffee machines, but they don't last forever -- yours looks pretty solid though! At the moment I rely on a single-serve stovetop espresso, which is very low-tech but makes tasty coffee...

Living on beta blockers, it's been so long since I even thought about No. 2, but I seem to remember that it was fun while it lasted. Now I have flightsim and coffee, so be thankful for your bounty!

For me?.....

Life's little Pleasures:

Being retired, and no longer having to; "Work" for a living every day.

Playing with my house full of assorted; "toys"....(Rather like Ian did).

Cooking amazing meals, just for myself, four times a day, every day, and posting the Recipes and Photos on the Internet..

Typing comical stuff, etc, with my Gaming Computer, on various Forums.

Resting.

Riding my Motorcycles and videoing my journeys, and posting the results on my Channel in You Tube.

Resting.

Paul.....mostly resting... :sleepy: ...!

Fozzer's right - retirement gives us time to enjoy the things that used to apparently get in our way while we were rushing around trying to make a buck or two to raise a family.

I've managed 1, 3 and 4 today, though I did think about 2 but it's not the same is it!!

I'm kind of curious about your cooking 4 times a day fozzer - is supper a cooked meal for you in Blighty land?

This made me smile, paused and then audible laughing - just as well my wife's not home as I'm sure she wouldn't think it was worth laughing at. Well done mate.
