Air New Zealand , what can I say.
Well , I cant say enough ...which is not like me
Returned from Rotorua this afternoon on NZ5785 , with the 3 ladies.
The service /timing was perfect. Ma decided she didn't need a wheel chair at Rotorua, as the aircraft was just there. But still, we were allowed a few extra minutes to allow her board and feel she wasn't holding anybody up.
Paul , the pilot on that sector, kept us informed ... and warned that the last 10 minutes may be a little bumpy due to the westerly wind .
Not sure what he did, but I only felt one little bump, and we arrived on 029, right on time ....wheel chair waiting
As usual, we were last to leave the aircraft, followed by the crew .
Just going back a little bit ... I think we were abeam Kaikoura when my partner told me she had left her glasses at the terminal in Rotorua .... jeezz , 700 bucks worth.
Anyway, got home, asked her to check her jacket, bag etc ... nothing.
I made a call to the Air New Zealand office in Rotorua ... a delightful young lady named Karen informed me that she had found them.
She advised me that they had one last flight out to CHC (NZ5487) and she would ask the crew if they didn't mind taking them back to us. She explained there was no guarantee , and I may have to arrange a courier .
My phone rang about an hour ago ... it was Karen ... the glasses were on 5487
Im working at the airport early in the morning, so I will track them down.
This is service over and above
I really want to make sure that ALL the people involved in this brief trip get the praise they deserve , aircrew , ground staff, the people on the phones.
If anyone can direct me to a company (ANZ) site that allows this ...please do so.
Why would you fly any other way ?
Signed .... one happy flyer
