the reason i came to the surface , was , confusion over a sonar contact . Turned out it was this..... need to trust the sonar guy more ... not every contact is a Typhoon <_<

Its a strange world down there... much to learn.

Stunning visuals...
Think about the calibre of person who spends time inside those things (Think missing Argy sub)
You'd have to be really, truly, convinced you are the tip of the spear protecting your nation from evil onslaught.

Well Capt Pin looks like the decision to surface was the correct one.Nothing like a spot of whale watching.I imagine torpedoing a whale would not feel great even in a sim

Thanks for looking guys .
johnkiwi .... sadly no internals, just exterior visuals and tactical maps .
Charl ...I'm about halfway through a great book called "SUB" by Danny Danziger , and these submariners believe they are the tip of the spear. They will be the last military force still standing in the event of all-out nuclear war ..God forbid.

Dinga ... I couldn't do that even to a virtual whale ...but I almost did :ph43r:
