The old girl is down again

What an arse of a day... and to top it off, I get a call from my brother telling me mum has had another fall and the ambulance is on the way.
Raced over there, and there she was on the floor...again.
I had left there about an hour before, but he stayed on. As he was giving her a hug, she passed out ...thank god he was in a position to lower her to the floor ...he's a big boy ..6 foot 8 and over a 100kg ...I wouldn't have a chance of trying to hold her.
Anyway...long story cut short. She had been sitting most of the afternoon in the lounge with the aircon going ...room temp about 19c ...gets up and walks into the kitchen (30c) that combined with high blood pressure, and I'm sure one extra gin with my brother ...she passed out.
Quickly determined she hadn't had a stroke, no chest pain, lucid, no blood etc.
Ambo crew were fantastic but took her in any way due to the high blood pressure.

Will keep you posted.

Marty, look after Mum - don't worry about Omaka.
Best wishes to you both.

Sorry for the delay, and thanks for your thoughts.
I've been run off my feet since Saturday. The old girl went into the hospital as you know, came out on Sunday ...had another turn, and went back in on Monday.
Thank goodness my brother is on leave at the moment ...I don't know what day it is.
Anyway, she is on the mend but far from right.

Sorry to read that SP. Glad to see she is coming around.
Trying times I know.

Thanks CP .... she had a sit down with her Doc today, and her bp is down to acceptable levels (for her age and condition).
But...after she read your post on the "statin" drugs, she insisted on dropping them ... he agreed , and admitted that he didn't really know why they were prescribed in the first place ...
