Interesting AFS2 effect

Postby emfrat » Fri May 31, 2019 9:44 pm

I managed to convince myself that I really needed to buy a new 27" LG monitor for the AFS2 machine. It looks very impressive, so I set up a flight over Rob's Coromandel to show good neighbour Tony-next-door who was about to arrive for the home brew quality checks. I paused it over a nice part, and then on the old BigBeast we watched some video of real racing cars from my GRRC Fellowship. As the afternoon progressed, we could see that the AFS2 lighting was still active even though the sim was paused. I had paused it about 1430 local sim time, and the view was from the port quarter as the Beech 76 headed northish, in bright sunlight. A couple of hours later, it was illuminated by the sunset, without me changing anything. So cool :)

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'
