You have to wonder if Marcel Dassault didn't cast an eye to the north when developing the Mirage III.
In profile you could easily confuse these two aircraft, in service within the same year.
Googling pictures of "SAAB military aircraft" shows their designers were always looking to do strange things with the jetpipe, though.
