I guess the Finns would be keen to show their Eastern neighbour what they have in the shed!
Then again , they might meet one of these:

Back then it was the Cobra... now: the KULBIT!

The Kulbit is a different maneuver to the Pugachev Cobra, both are actually departures although the Cobra is the more dangerous of the two due to the over riding of something important in order to execute it in the Mig 29. :plane:

Flying an aircraft in high Alpha and extreme maneuvering in the departure has a different mettle to a normal pilot so he must be a test pilot in order to safely do those maneuvers. :plane:

I am always amazed at the difference between a 3rd-gen fighter "manual" flight display and one that is produced by the flight computers.

Not sure of the value of such low-speed manoeuvres as the cobra and kulbit in combat though.

Marty here it goes again, right off the rails!
Wouldn't have thought of it however, were it not for your post.

I had a moment of nostalgia, reminiscing about the joys of FS2004.
Show me a sim today that can do this, and I will buy it:

I'd redo the sound track for sure, but it was such fun setting these things up, it didn't matter that the music was just what was playing on my PC when I made the recording...

Maybe someday when I get some spare time, all that stuff in that video of the Hornet I can do in the DCS Hornet. :plane:
