I must do a bit more research into New Zeeland's History, and how it got its name...Dutch Settlers?

My spot of exploration last Saturday...>>>

Many thanks for the link, Mike!

Fascinating stuff. Some details I had not heard of before!
I wonder how many New Zeelander Immigrants are aware of their Dutch origins from the distant past!
My English/British origins have always been of interest to me!
My Surname (Fosbery) dates from British Iron Age Hill Fort times.
Bury; An Iron Age Hill Fort.
Fos; The tribe who lived there
My interest also includes my Biker Chums from the USA North Atlantic East Coast; New England, etc., who are well aware of their British and Irish Heritage, which they call their Mother Country!

It's quite amazing just how many Folks (miscreants) we shipped abroad for various reasons!.... :wink2: .... :wink2: ... ...!

Thanks again, Mike!

Paul.... :uk: .... :D ...!

Yes the Aussies have learnt to do that too with their 501 "repatriations".
