upcoming system change.

I've been looking, comparing, and all the time working to a strict budget (that's hard) I didn't seek any external advice to avoid any more confusion ...no offense to the present company.
I guess the main thing that will change is CPU and GPU performance.....moving from an old AMD A4-6300 1 core up to a Ryzen 7 3700x 8 core/16 thread (whatever that means ...threads) 16GB of ram.
GPU is a big jump as well, from a GTX 750 (1 GB ram) to an AMD RX 5700 XT with 8Gig. The other specs fit around what I've just told you.
I will keep my old monitor, keyboard, etc and my old Creative speakers and sub (awesome sound)

I had to do it because even my older flight sims are just useable, and I really miss DCS, and I'm keen to check out the new kid in town.
I'm sure there is something I could have got thats faster ...and I've looked at them...but they are way out of range at the moment.

Will keep you posted.

Go for it, Marty - back-of-the-envelope indicates you will be creating 8 times as many screenies, 8 times quicker :o

Great stuff Marty. You deserve a good rig. Glad to hear you bit the bullet so to speak.
I also had a good look at the 5700 AMD but ended up going Nvidia 2600 Super. I did get a 3600 GPU which is a step down from yours but will do me ok

Be keen to hear how it goes.
