I’m not going to bother upgrading for a while. Maybe a couple of years. Nothing that is really enticing me over, and I’d rather wait for them to iron out the wrinkles of the new ui

Yes, I've always been keen to try a new OS in the past, but age has caught up with me, so I'm just ignoring Win11. On the other hand, I still have my old PC so I could try it out there, and see if it improves my life in any way.

I will be moving to Linux as soon as I can get the AFS2 Linux version without going through Steam. It was released there back in June, so a DVD or a non-Steam Download version can't be far away. The current flying machine is Win10 so it cannot be allowed out on the 'Net without being hacked by Microsoft. I don't want subscription business models with unsolicited automated downloads which not only chew up my bandwidth but are likely to break any older softwares I have installed.

I'd agree with No as well my work laptop upgraded it and I hate it - bit buggy so far and everything about it frustrates me, for example to right click and copy something instead of having a copy button it has a symbol which is really annoying this is the same for paste and cut etc

In a previous existence, one of my duties was keeping our internal procedures up to date. We were in a Windows environment and Head Office had decreed that the Microsoft Office Suite was the standard. Every 18 months or so there was a purely cosmetic update, which did not increase the functionality of that software - but changed 'Find' to 'Search' and then back again. Fortunately their vocabulary did not extend to 'Discover' or 'Locate'. A colossal waste of time and money, but, hey, it's only shareholders' money so why worry? :ph43r: :givein:

My PC says it is too old ! No TPM chip or some such, can't recall exactly. Sure as heck not in a position to upgrade it tho, not for a few years yet.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about that, my old PC was too old, but even checking the new one -- a year old -- it isn't up to it. Oh well...

Yeah Rob, I think my one is about 5 years old now, but still doing ok for my usage, which is mostly ARK these days - haven't touched a sim for a long time. Partly due to lack of real world flying, thus lack of motivation, and partly because my office was 'stolen' by my returning eldest daughter and I just never got around to adding back all the Saitek hardware, plus my pedals are broken. I've been holding off that somehow the funds might come together for a new PC, proper heli controls and high-end VR ... that would be my preferred next step, but in the current climate, who on earth knows ... apparently by 2030 we'll own nothing and be happy about it! :) :)
