Good morning folks,
I trust that Christmas was a good one for you all
Now's the time to start thinking about New Year Resolutions....not that I ever do, or if I do , I "forget" what they were.
So, I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy, prospourous and safe New Year.

Well it ain't over yet, Simon.
The world could end in Nuclear Conflagration in the next week.

But I'll bite.
Rather than predict the likely gloom and doom which surely will follow this year of doom and gloom,
here are things I will keep in mind that could help make 2025

1. Happy
I will finally pay attention to my lovely MSFS 2020 and fine tune it the way it deserves, instead of just piling in and having a kwik fly!

2. Prosperous
I will use up the refund I got for MSFS 2024 on all those MFSFS 2020 things I always thought Nice but couldn't really justify at NZD prices.
Better do it before 3 Jan because some of the stuff is ludicrously cheap on sale atm.

3. Safe
Well we live in NZ so have a head start I reckon
Don't do stupid stuff.

Ok, resolutions then... I can't help thinking that it might be time to stop worrying and start enjoying life. I had decided to spend my life pretty much on my own after my son and grandkids moved to Australia a few years ago. Now here I am, living with my other son and daughter-in-law, their little boy and another on the way. My daughter (? -- I still call her that, although she officially changed her name to Theo last year -- luckily her pronouns are 'she' and 'they' so it was an easy transition) and her partner live in a tiny house on the driveway. I had hoped to take a break when my grandson goes to school (I'll be 70 then) but with another coming, I don't think I'll get a rest for the next five years.

I can remember when I was young, I thought how amazing it was that I could live to the 21st century, but I knew I'd be too old and boring to enjoy it. Now here I am, in 2025, and the world is still hanging on, I'm reasonably healthy (cancer and heart problems not-withstanding), and the sun is shining at the moment. So if the world doesn't turn to custard shortly, I can start to relax into old age.
