Anyone else got their midyear exams coming up? First thing on monday, i get to do an English exam. On Wednesday I have 2 science exams. Thursday I have my maths exam. Friday I have a Science practical to do. On top of that, I have heaps of homework from graphics/tech drawing. I also have to do heaps work on the farm, finishing at about 7pm every day, and must fit time in all of that to do some of my usual PC stuff. ohmy.gif Talk about flat out....

So how is everyone else. Have I missed anything?

Mine starts on the 3rd. However, from the 26th to the 31st I'm in Timaru for the Secondary schools Football (meaning soccer) tournament, so I spose I'll have to do some study there, which is nothing short of lame. For those who've already done a yearof NCEA, would it be necessary to study while I'm in Timaru that week, to do okay in the Mock exams?

Bit past mid-year isn't it? I have some right at the start of Term 4, (right after I get back from Europe grrr..) and the NCEA Externals in November.

Well, the practice exams are sort of important, as they give you a good indication of what you need to work on to do well in the externals, and if you much around with the practice exams, you probably won't know what to concentrate on for the externals.

Also, most of the school awards at the prizegiving are based on your practice exam results, so if you want to get a prize, do well in the practice exams. winkyy.gif

I'd say yes, depends how well you're doing already though. Which classes are you doing?

ahh the memories.

I remember my 6th form Chemistry class fondly. At least my eyebrows didn't take too long to grow back. ohmy.gif

I had a really good teacher who enjoyed blowing stuff up as much as we did to practically demonstrate the theory.

Don't know if the PC brigade would let them get away with it now though. Too concerned with liability.

Good luck guys.
