But yes, I see what you mean about those safes looking very much like microwaves ...do the guests also have a microwave in their room, or is the safe the only way of heating (or trying to heat) the food ?

Well its funny, you can never think of these things when you are put on the spot, but if something comes to mind then I'll post it.

It would depend on the room types the Hermitage has (I've never been in there - though have been around it etc), and whether the person was in a self-contained room or not...
