I saw this in someone's signature when I was looking on the POSKY forums, I was bored and decided to check it out. Turns out a good thing I did. Basically, you guess or know the meaning of a word, if you get it correct, 20 grains of rice will go towards helping world hunger. It's completely free, you benefit from learning new words, and people in poverty benefit from the rice that gets sent.

So far I've donated about 1760 grains of rice. It's a nice little game to play while you're on a long flight on flight simulator or if you're just bored, and the best thing is, you're basically saving lives. According to the site, 25,000 people die a day from starvation..that's a huge number (Now any loss is bad, but why does the media make a big deal over 1 or 2 people that have a tragec death in NZ, but not the 25,000 that die PER day from starvation?).

So far 30,189,927,730 grains of rice have been donated, every bit counts though. You can help save lives from home on a computer, that's pretty good.

I quite like the concept that there are 55 levels and you try to get it higher as you slowly learn the words you got wrong over time. They say it is rare to get above 48. cool concept
