Brighton is a real metropolitan place, even though it’s viewed as a ‘seaside getaway’ for most Londoners, it’s still a hustling and bustling big noisy city- much more so than Auckland.
In the hope of capturing a different side to the place, I made a special effort to wake myself up before sunrise twice this week, with the help of some ‘Koru Energy Strips’ which are the popular new craze over here in the UK (like a can of Red Bull in a dissolvable tongue tab, with a Maori tattoo pattern on it for some reason).
Anyway, when I went out for these walks, I took my camera with me and grabbed a few snaps- very amateurish, and nothing like Benwynn’s amazing shots from Melbourne, but it may interest at least a few of you out there all the same:
From Friday:
The Royal Pavilion

St Peters Cathedral

Random street scenes

‘The King n’ Queen’- our local pub for watching the footy

An assortment of other churches and buildings with abstract architecture

From Wednesday:
The Pav. again

‘Graffiti Avenue’ in the Lanes

An unusually deserted seafront

…and back to ‘Dorset Gardens’, my home for the last two and a half months

Now I know that I really need to invest in a better camera next time I go traveling!

Comments welcome, cheers
