Nice find Charl! Funny thing I usually dont bother to read the xtra newsletters usually they go in the spam bin

The other thing about spelling is becoming more common place now days thanks to the desktop PC and windows! That is how a word is spelt.

My friend was helping his Daughter do some homework and noticed her spelling of certain words to be differant to what they should be? His Daughters reply was thats how the teacher showed us on the computer at school <_<

Armed with this informatin he went to the school and discovered that the Teacher in her late twenties insisting that the spellings were correct and proved this by using the spell checker on the PC :huh:

What she had not done was change the default settings on the PC. Seems that is common place nowdays!

My own PC is set to English (New Zealand) as far as I can see there is no differance to the Queens English of the United Kingdom. However a marked differance can be seen with USA English. Lets hope New Zealand does not lose its English Heritage to become another state of the USA.

Haha, RGR that Blackmagic.

The M$ spell checker is annoying when it tries to correct the proper English spelling with the default American.

It's just like HTML programming, you have to write "centre" instead of "center" to get something in the middle of the page. :rolleyes:

Howdy,

Try writing a 100,000 word thesis that must adhere to strict academic standards. T'was a constant battle with the default MS spell (and grammer) check. Shudder. :angry:

To true! The more we have computers the more lazy people get and take the easy route rather than understanding the technology. The modern computer is designed for idiots that so everyone can use one. Another reason that a Computer medic can charge $40 just to ook at your PC simple because you do not understand how to set it up properly.

On the subject of spellcheckers...for a bit of a joke goto someone elses pc ,open up their word procesor and for example if u go2 the toolz on the menu bar and goto spell check u shild b able to type a word then type a word that it automaticly replaces it with lol so u watch this person keep tryin to type a word and it just changes it to a incorrect spelling or something its a good laugh (untill they fingd out who muked up there spellcheaker) :lol:

P.S: i fink a spell cheka wuld b a gud idea in dis 4um lol

re: changing the spellchecker. Change your bosses name to 'idiot' or something similar inside autocorrect. On all office PC's including his/hers....
