Ah OK yeah ive just read what was on the site and for sure ill be looking to the south tonight or morning 1am ,im not sure if my son and i seen it last night or how fast it was suppose to be going over ,we did see something but it was that fast you couldn't really tell if both of our eyes were playing tricks on us or that it was the comet ,not something we could of tracked at the speed this was going more like a ufo hitting light speed, kinda like star trek ..

could anyone let me know how fast or how long it should be in the sky to the eye ?

Least not as much drama as in last century's Halleys comet .. jeepers blink.gif all lying on our backs on the port hills , Christchurch .. look at that .. what were , the light of the city blocked most out , 30 minutes out of CHCH t the west .. racecourse hill , ... ok an hour .. on a lesser type but away from the city lights , impressive!

It's just ahead of Saturn, same speed. If you haven't got a map PM me.

Ian,
Yeah, quite disappointing. Last year's Tuttle was much better.
