Competition Theme Ideas

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Postby ardypilot » Tue Sep 05, 2006 7:53 pm

As many of you know, our monthly screenshot competitions have been very successful lately.

With this in mind, we plan to continue running them every month indefinitely, so we need ideas for each month's theme to keep everything new and interesting!

So far I have come up with the following ideas, if you can think of anymore (bearing in mind they must be NZ related), please add them to this thread!

•Certain Locations (eg. Cook Straight)
•Certain Weather (eg. Rain)
•Sunset/Sunrise
•Jet Airliners
•Prop Airliners
•Vintage Warbirds
•Modern Warbirds
•Biplanes
•Specific Default Aircraft (eg. Douglas DC3)
•Low and Slow
•High and Fast
•Landing
•Takeoff
•Lord of the Rings"¦
•Real NZ Wellington (and other photoreal sceneries/airports)
•Mountains/ Volcanoes
•Planespotters Perspective
•Real photo recreation
•Cockpit Interiors

Cheers!

Good idea Andrew!

I think the more themes that involve heavys the better :P

Weather is a good idea, I personaly don't like sticking to one location as its kinda restrictive, hmm but if everyone has to use the same scenery title it would be fun.....

I'm sire the futre comps will be interesting :)

I suggest you don't include any sort of scenery-based theme, some people don't have payware scenery.

MMMMM IDEAS . there are many .. Use a time Date in NZ Aviation History , with the vast resource of amazing aircraft models , the editing skills of many , maybe expand to factual historic NZ flights , has to be on day with aircraft , with little no off whats going on ( a trans tas flight ) .. Its still NZ .. but the people ( pioneers) also . I'm willing to jump in to help historical dates and require models to define the screen shot , inbetween can always return to an example done previous as guessin many would like to return to a fav they missed ..... no way ya can run otta ideas

There's so many left Trolly..
Dangerous Approaches?
Certain Airlines/ Aircraft is a good one
I'm not sure ones with a specific Payware package is good, as people won't go out and buy it just for that.
Business Aviation?

Hi all

I was thinking that perhaps we could brainstorm some ideas on what our next screenie competition themes could be? Seeing as at the moment we have the fantastic Vistaliners 737 bundled with Dan's superb repaints as our main competition theme, how about something along similar lines? Such as:

Deane's Fletcher

My Triplane repaints

NZ helicopters

A particular airline/operator eg NAC

RNZAF

Airwork Friendships

Any other ideas? I;d love to hear them as the flight sim world is *so* diverse and a screenshot comp is the *perfect* way to show this off.

Sort of reiterating the ones above, but a bit broader - "Danger". :)
