Nah - model made in Germany so not allowed!

Looks like a nice model - A2A are also making one

Yep - same problem with IL-2. I agree with the ruling, but I've often wondered how they cope (in Germany) with photos in history books or newsreel footage.

To get back on topic, the FW190 has always been a favourite of mine - though I don't really see the point of having combat aircraft in FSX (I did splash out on the RealAir Spit + Lancaster!). Copies of IL-2/PCF are prtetty cheap these days - cheaper than the average add-on for FSX - and maybe even cheaper than this particular add-on! At least in IL-2 you get to *do some damage* laugh.gif

Did you ever see that avi made by a formation of (LOMAC) Su-27's (made by a Russian team in Moscow, I think) ... awesome! All done in real time.

It makes you realise how crude many of the flight models in MSFS are, IMHO. But ... I "fly" MSFS for all the things that I like that you *don't* get in combat sims ... the navigation, the weather systems, the "procedures" of aviation. Whereas what I like about IL-2 (and LOMAC or Falcon4 etc) are the combat tactics, the split-second timing etc.

Multiplayer in IL-2 is amazing ... because there's usually an objective (beyond just flying a route with friends) - and often requires genuine co-operation. I had to give it up - it was far too addictive!!

EDIT: BTW - anyone here who remembers "Adamski" in his IL-2 days will know how seriously cr*p he was. Should've changed my nick to "Cannon-Fodder". Yes - it's a bit of a learning curve, but it's still fun all the way, regardless of competence.

It's an add-on for IL-2 that replaces all the air-force insignias (regardless of country) with a stonking great TARGET roundels - and your registration magically changes to "SHOOT[]ME". It also induces parallax in the gunsight, making it impossible for you to actually hit anything - as well as setting up a massive magnetic field that attracts other metal objects ... usually bullets sad.gif

Not so much a program - more a way of life laugh.gif

If I told you, I'd have to kill you laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I don't think so ... I don't even know what it stands for! I used to "fly" with a really nice bunch of blokes from Kiwisim - a fair few of which lurk here, I think. I'd love to pick it up again - but I just don't have that much spare time these days to do IL-2 *and* FSX. I'm giving FSX a good old work out, so maybe it'll be time (for the winter) to switch back to being [repeatedly] shot down again in IL-2 winkyy.gif

Do you have any more info on them? A URL maybe? I expect IL-2 1946 would be the minimum - then Teamspeak (client). After that, it's usually just the odd map.

Nice pics mate - stunning smile.gif I should look at getting FSX, it probably wouldn't run on my pc but you say that's on your laptop ... jealous!

Footnote:

You can get the swatikas etc on IL2 using IL2 Stab

I won't crash your thread anymore but I have put some info about IL2 and TFK on the IL2 thread
