... and Hokitika, early preview shots.

This is an update of the old Godzone Lake Kaniere scenery, for FSX only. I did say I'd do the airport (and town) if I could source a suitable aerial image, as the LINZ aerials don't do as far as the airport. Thanks to the Westland District Council, I now have a nice image to begin the project.

The airport image here needs some work. It does show the blend between the Vector Landclass and photo scenery -- without the indicators such as autogen (the photo hasn't been autogenned yet) you wouldn't know where the join was. You can see why I'm excited about the VLC project.

Hokitika

The images are over-sized, so I've just linked them. Note that they are full-sized and are approx 300 and400Kb each.

Oops, almost forget, here's a video of the scenery before the airport aerial.

Just to confirm - the VLC/Photo Blend is to the left of the airport in the second picture?

Almost 100% seemless!

Great work Timmo, World Famous in NZ! (for the time being)

Interesting shots Robin- I flew here doing some testing and noticed that the VLC airport boundaries where out of alignment with the default FSX airport boundaries and wondered which was correct- Does the aerial line up with the VLC or the default? (from memory the default was shifted east by 100m or so)
