Nice shots Marty!
Re: the Hudson, FYI there is apparently only one airworthy Hudson in the world at the moment, based across the ditch.
However, one very significant Hudson is owned by Mr Bill Reid of Nelson. NZ2049 was attached to 3 Sqn RNZAF during it's first tour based at Henderson Field on Guadalcanal. Check out the latest edition of Classic Wings for a more detailed description of why its so significant, but let me just say that on two occasions it was involved in fighting off multiple attacking Japanese fighters. As a result of action taken during the second of these (on the 26th of November 1943) it's pilot, Flying Officer George Gudsell was awarded the US Distinguished Flying Cross.
Classic wings reports that once his Anson is complete (which is apparently meant to happen in time for Classic Fighters next Easter) Mr Reid intends to set to work restoring NZ2049 to its former glory as well - hopefully to airworthy condition!
