I use REX2 a lot but in this case I used the default FSX weather in the advanced mode and set the base about 1000ft and height 7500ft and density 8/8 then set the higher layer base at 20000 and height at 40000ft and about 3/8 density and flying at 10000ft

The sea wall in pic #4 Bell 206B JetRanger at NZWN is from FSX DX10 not FS9 and there is no TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL= in the FSX.cfg file.
