The Spitfire wing is such a beautiful shape, and flies so well. Even more impressive when you think that RJ Mitchell did the design work using pencil and paper, no help of CAD or computers then. I feel even more privilidged to have actually flown one, although only one of the few 2 seat versions. And the sound of the engine is music too.

Hehe ... a wheelbarrow, more like!

One of my fondest Spitfire memories is a 21-Spit formation at a display at Duxford a few years back. They even had the delicacy to separate the Merlins from the Griffons so we got a "pure" sound from each.

Happy , Recent mention off Spitty,s .. I prefer Sir Tim,s Mk16 with the clipped wing .... Wigram 1995 .. VE Day Anniversary , the teardrop 14 .... Jeepers .. um yeah , it changed me

I just bought the realair spit for FSX ....will post a couple of shots later......but not as artistic as your one....i have it as wallpaper.(your screen)...cheers
