Greetings to you all, My name is Shane, and I'm an FS addict, and I love to use smileys- biggrin.gif

My FS buddies Bruce448 & SeanTK have spoke nothing but gold about your site,

and have highly recommended that I should stop by and join up, so... here I am! smile.gif

Thanks to Sean and FS9, I've fallen in love with the land of the kiwis, and spend a great deal of time exploring it, and checking out any addons I can find for it.

This shot was taken as I broke through the clouds on arrival to Auckland Intl.

FS9

Thanks for stopping by to look! smile.gif

Thanks for the welcome.

@Creator- I took it for that originally, but I couldn't seem to make it look right in a banner size without it cutting most of the good parts out.
I've got another in mind for the contest though.

@Ian- It's David Maltby's freeware BAC-1-11.
I've recently become fascinated with this one, because no matter what I do, I can't seem to keep the engines running without causing a lot of damage to them.
It's one of those planes you just want to learn to fly properly after you mess it up a few times. biggrin.gif

thumbup1.gif Great screenshot Shane....and welcome aboard smile.gif
I agree with you....that BAC is a tricky little thing to master, but a lovely aircraft....lots of noise and smoke winkyy.gif

Keep posting thumbup1.gif

A nice shot. I recognised that panel straight away. DM's BAC1-11 is a delightful aircraft to fly. Very smooth and stable. I am not sure what engine damage you are referring to ...can you elaborate?
I have put a dual CIVA INS unit in mine and it is great. Let me know if you would like the panel config.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Welcome from me too, Shane. I agree with all of the above ... a *great* pic. Very atmospheric! The banner format really does make it hard sometimes. I often wonder whether a separate monthly (any size/format) competition would be a good idea. The winner just gets placed in a separate "Hall of Fame" thread ... Rob???

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcomes indeed! smile.gif

@Cowpatz - After a few minutes in the air, things running fine, I'll get some heavy black smoke (more than usual for this bird biggrin.gif ) and then they shut down.
It's more than likely me flying it wrong as opposed to actual 'damage', it's just, when I'm in the air, and the go-boxes stop going, it's "damaged" to me. biggrin.gif

Sounds like your melting the turbine blades. Just check you have the temp limiters on the right hand side of the centre pedestal are switched on and all should be good.
Neat machine to fly and nothing better than doing a "wet" take off and listening from the outside.
