I thought I'd do a bit of slow flying to really get down close to the surface today- I thought an attempt at gliding from Westport to Murchison may be a good way to do it.....which it was, but the flight was difficult- I simply couldn't find enough lift to get the required altitude so had to rely on slew twice :/

Some farmland dropping off into a steep gully while trying to find some ridge lift

Soon after getting over the first ridge.....not the type of place you want to come down in

not much altitude left!

So close....yet so far

Safely down

Time to switch to something with a little more grunt for a quick burst up to Nelson

Going up?

Its nice to have power to climb out of trouble

But its time to come down....

Nelson in sight

and down

Ive been doing a bit of jet flying with photoreal /VLC tests myself ,it blows me away how every river stream forest /forest roads perfectly matches up with the photoreal edges ,you have done a awesome job at making VLC work like this within FSX ,im very happy timmo with the results ,its really has hard wired our future within scenery design in NZ ..
