The Delta girls and a Comet

Ian...you wanted to see the TU-144 cockpit ....these aren't great shots, but you get the idea. Awfull view with the visor up compared to Concorde.
The other pics are just for comparison.....i still lean toward the Concorde...but the Charger looks mean...and as for the comet....

Ahhh.. never get tired of the Deltas... more more !!!

I lived under the flight-path for Concorde in London for a couple of years, no doubt sucked in my fair share of carconogenic effluent from the beast, but by heck I never got sick of the roar and trail as it blasted over the house and up into the clouds, marvelous !!!

BTW, I bought an oldish copy of AirlinerWorld on Trademe recently with an article on the TU144, if anyones interested I could scan the pages and PM them to you

Thanks for looking deeknow.......Ive only ever seen Concorde flying once....and was also extremly lucky to be able to have look inside .It was an Air france one out here at CHC....years ago...I'll never forget it.....never.

Just finished watching the episode about Concorde's 1st trans-atlantic flight on one of the "Days the Shook the World" DVDs that we got out from the library. I had no idea opinion was so (rabidly) against Concorde landing in the US. Mind you, I was only 8 or 9 years old at the time, so that might have had something to do with it...

Both Boeing and Lockheed were working on SST's , one that put a hold on the aircraft was the fuel crisis and many lobbyists were against the noise , strange to think the US aircraft or some off their designs really looked like something out off THUNDERBIRDS .
