Finally got a chance to get back amongst it all, trying out a bit of Polish scenery first up in the Redbull L-13 Blanik. Then it was off on a lazy 500km ridge soaring session in the Alps with a Discus 2B...

Great screens! thumbup1.gif Are you using CumulusX? I went for a virtual spin around the Remarkables with itloaded up (the freeware version) the other day and I might have to get the full payware, it was so good! clapping.gif

Cheers smile.gif

I've got CumulusX, but FSX actually does pretty well on its own as far as thermals are concerned - The best tool so far is SimProbeX, which performs a real-time scan of the mesh you are flying over and relates it to the local wind data to generate ridge lift.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Being a real-world paraglider pilot, I like the extra tweaking that can be done to enhance FSX. I have version 1.8 which incorporates SimProbeX. I haven't had too much time to play with it thus far unfortunately!

Great set of screenshots there, especially the first one. The Discus is a great add-on too, I recently added it to the collection and now have the urge to try real gliders again.

thanks for posting, how about some more?

smooth landings.
