It's a nice model alright smile.gif

It would appear that 2010-11 is the year of the light twin... This C310, Carenado's Seneca, Islander and now the C340

I'm not a great fan of these biz-type things, but this one looks pretty good! I don't think I'd feel like a total kn*b flying that one laugh.gif. If I had the money (but not enough for a Spit) I'd buy a Cub, Cresco or Islander ... or maybe a Tiger Moth or D.H. Chipmunk.

Agreed - nice repaint too.

LOL - I think you will find a Cresco is upwards of 10 times the price of the others on your list. $1.1m - 1.3m second hand !!

R's were the best of the bunch, sadly the last too... 4.5hrs on an R in the UK and just under 3hrs in a Q model in the states thanks to the Old Man.

Adam, the Cresco is worth a lot more as A) it's much earlier in it's usable life, and B) and a consequence of A, it's still a valuable asset - by having one, you have the opportunity to make money via it's intended role... As opposed to flying what is effectively a massive liability on the museum circuit (not intended to offend anyone or denigrate the spectacle of these warbirds and the pleasure they give to us by seeing them flying today) smile.gif

Thanks, Alfa ... that makes sense. I suppose *durability* could also be a factor - as the Crescos would be working *hard* to earn their keep.

Turbine engine alone is worth a fair bit of the cost. Plus the Crescos are pretty rare. Only 39 were built, 4 of which have been writen off.
