Around And About Vietnam

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Early morning at Phan Rang AB South Vietnam.

Airborne out of Vung Tau AB.

Hunting VC in the Ashau Valley.

Parked at Long Tien Laos.

More to come. You may notice that the screenshots are slightly on the 'thin' side. For some reason when I take
screenshots it compresses the width slightly. Anybody got any ideas?

Geat stuff..there are some great Vietnam era aircaft out there (Piglets Skyraider would be another)...is that the Vietnam scenery from SOH?

For the size of your shot..maybe check the Photobuckets size - click on "customsize your upload options" before you upload.

Ive worked out the compression problem. I have to resize the screenshots after I take them to 1080x768! Spooky...
The scenery is the Vietnam War Project. Work in progress but its most definatly usable. Just have to find a way to get rid of the default traffic.
Somebody said Skyraider?? Here it is.

Da Nang Airbase South Vietnam. Sortie up to the Special Forces camp at Lang Vei near the DMZ.

Airborne out of Da Nang, looking down at China Beach.

Heading North.

Arriving on station and immediately called in to attack suspected VC positions in the surrounding hills.

In Hot.

Cannon and Rockets expended. Time to go home.

Great screenies. Have you got a link to the scenery package? With Alphasim releasing its F-4 as freeware there is scope for some mudmoving missions smiliz2.png

Its about time some of that Alphasim stuff was freeware. http://vietnamwar.project.free.fr/index.html is the link to that site. Its in english but some of the documentation has suffered in the translation. Took me a little while to get it up and running.

Interesting. It would have to be pretty bloody good to make me want to buy it though. Tim Conrads freeware one is hard to beat.
