Im back from fs9......Im not sure where i was when i shot these...BUT.....i made a discovery, because of a nature call. I flew the hunter down into the valley, and was looking at the huge pixel view that i always get down low dry.gif(could never get the bush detail) before i could climb for some mountain top /cloud shots...nature called....paused the sim. When i got back all the detail was there...down low. ohmy.gif
Seems my present card needs about 5mins to catch up.......which motivates me more toward my upgrade (coming soon)

Having a real bad run with health at the moment, and this just picked me right up.....nothing new for you atomic powered guys, but Im chuffed.....thanks VLC team, best dollors i ever spent.....so I'll be low level more often even with 5 minute delays smile.gif

Alphasim Hunter, VLC, REX.....Only editing was cropping.

I love the way REX puts mist in the valleys.

It's like the rest of life - "hurry up and wait". Be sure your scenery and cloud detail sliders are maxed out, as you wait.

Post attempt number 2 as Windows update conveniently decided to restart my computer right as I was posting...grrr

Anyway, have you set a FPS limiter (i.e. to around 30-30)? This will help your computer allocate more resources to loading scenery, especially if you have a slower hard drive.

Also consider using a slightly lower level of detail radius if you are flying above say 5000 feet- This will help ensure that resources aren't wasted loading higher LOD scenery directly beneath you.
I've said it many times, but there is more to defining 'good performance' than high frame rates which are of limited value if your scenery blurry (depending on what you want to achieve of course)
