The sun in your eyes

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

As a pre-schooler, we were allowed to do only one of these, after which the teacher gently pointed out that in real life, you couldn't look at the sun as it would hurt your eyes.

This has stuck over the years, and no decent picture ever shows the sun, for fear of hurting your eyes.
What to do?
Well, in flight simulator, stuff moves, and if you're careful, you can HIDE Mr. Sun, and still get some of those chocolate-box colours!

The BBJ was jumping around so much in the turbulence, I doubt any of the passengers shared my pleasure...

Now the Plane Designs Spitty is the only one that has a gunsight worth the name, so I was going to run up a sun-in-his-eyes VC shot, including authentic dugga-dugga-dugga soundtrack.

But that plane crashes my sim (again) so maybe another day.

Don't you just hate brilliant software that is full of it?

Much better...actually if you think about it, putting the sun in an aircraft picture is mostly undesirable, simply because you deflect the focus from the thing you're trying to show!
