Through the clouds

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Postby happytraveller » Fri Jul 15, 2011 3:36 am

More of the favourites have been out of the hanger for an airing!! Next on the list to power up was the L-39 Albatros. A very high quality aircraft, good visibility and great to fly, so give it a try!!

Two screenshots as it breaks through the clouds:-

I would welcome all comments on the screenshots that I have been posting, both positive and negative. No problem to listen to criticism, so fire away!!

Smooth landings.

You have to love weather generators for your flight sim today , recall FS98 the last off the square block cloud , me personally the L-39 was a letdown by compare to Rick Pipers Hawk .

I don't see how the L-39 is a let down...I have not seen one negative review for it and read no negative feedback anywhere and by all accounts it looks and flys as the real one as much as FSX will allow, that includes the turbine lag on throtling up, the ice build up on the windscreen, A2A like lights, engine failure in extreme G manueovres, the semi-automatic flap and gear retraction system etc etc

Nothing wrong with preform and model By compare to the many paywares , all the hype , no one seem to have brought the Skysim Hawk , graphic wise and real , well that,s depended on what you have brought , still do like the 39 but .. my opinion simply because i have payed for SO many models , that the ones that you enjoy and course no the history with them need the extra .

Good example : A Boeing B17 Flying Fortress , 40 bucks , then have to buy Accusim 40 bucks

To me the 39 is so well more GA , more a private jet than jet trainer , it dose not have that Mil punch look to it , strangely speaking to Rick , recon,d this is better than his Hawk but i still differ . the cockpit is still to clean

I dont want to clutter up this thread with non screen related stuff...but Ian....this doesn't look like a private jet to me, and the f/s model has an option to add the gunsight.
