Dave , checked em out first when in country - the Dash 7 ..ole Newmans colours , 1985 , shags , think they almost broke the gear at Wigram , happened to be the Debut of our P-51 then proud owner Trevor Bland now owned by Graham Bethel.

Ian, in 1985 the Mustang was owned by Tim Wallis, it was his first warbird, and was sold in 86 to fund the purchase and restoration of his first Spitfire.

Hmmm think your right in 85 but Timmy was not rated on the type , sold it was very sure Trevor Bland was that next owner who flew it in the 1985/86 period/season .

Ah the memories. I remember flying on an Air Niugini Dash 7 in PNG back in the early '80's. Didn't appreciate the rarity of a 4-engined commercial STOL turboprop back then happy.gif

Recall the day the 7s were getting replaced by the 8s , as the 8 taxied in against the 7 , it really made it look so old .
