Something about the JF Spitfire doesn't seem right - too stubby so I installed about a ten inch plug ahead of the tail. Looks better to me.

Not to sure there Dave , 10 "extra is a lot at 29ft 11" , maybe a plan form , cant see how JF would have been so far out .

You wouldn't think so; more likely an optical illusion on my part. Didn't bother until I started seeing the plethora of Spits on NZFF and they all seemed skinnier and longer in the section aft of the wing. Marty has all three (JF Realair and A2A) and is doing some comparative screenies for me.

Well when you look how much the type change so quickly after 1940 to 45 , be so easy to get lost in illusions

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't have noticed - so your pic certainly looks "right" - optical illusion or not. Really nice angle too! Nice and green for Marty as well

It's actually the same pic I posted under "Belly dancer" - just photoshopped an extension.
