This one looks incredible on the outside. The 777 was well designed here.

BUT the cockpit doesn't really get me. I don't know how much depth they put into the systems, but the panel itself looks a bit -standard fsx/fs9 like.
The chart special seems to be really cool though.
Thanks for the mention! Appreciated!

Ian, how do the systems work? Is the FMC fully functionable?
For me, it is no option, since it is FSX only. Too bad, I'd have given it a try. Well, the day I install the FSX will be the release of the PMDG 777, so no CS for me.
Cheers mates!

It did not cost me so much as i went thru the build process , buying all packages as they were release at around $17NZ (today's 300 addon).. i'd have to measure the costing but over a long time made it very cheap .

Great stuff! Isn't that engine nacelle a splendid rendering...
Almost 20 years old, this one has never killed anyone.
I'm very fond of the 777, and it's going to soldier on for years to come.

Sure does look purty, just a shame the systems are still so weak.
Amazing to think that if you want a decent 777 model at the moment your only option is still the venerable FS9 model from PSS

I really miss the Pacific Wave livery, it looks rather naked about the proboscis....

I happily fly about in the SkySpirit 777, most beautiful freeware VC ever made.

It flies like - and probably has systems approaching - the stock Cessna.
No matter, I put the thumbs in the ears and go : Lalalalavroom.

Edit: I'm not sure that's a pic of the VC actually (I just trawled my Photob account) , but it looks like that!

Charl, I've had to tweak the sky spirit to make it flyable (FS2004). Lovely plane to look at, but overspeeds on descent something terrible.
I also had to tweak the height of it a bit (772 and 773) as the tyres were half buried in the ground. Pretty shabby. But good now with some fixes.

Ian, thanks for the screenies. Lovely shots but for me, I too am sticking with the sky spirit 777. If only Capt Sim included a 2D I would be interested, maybe (price too steep). If I could win one in a screenshot competition I would probably fly it constantly. But just don't have spare dosh at the best of times.. sad.gif

Yes I'm probably just being lazy - I have the Project Opensky Boeing 777 FDE Service Pack G somewhere and think maybe I forgot to install it on the current 777. And I also forget the darn thing ALWAYS loads with 100% fuel which puts it half a tonne overweight!

Oh I don't think so laugh.gif this forum is really starting to leave me in the dust. I check out all the competition topics for the month and can assure you if it's something I am able to enter, I'll be sure to do so smile.gif
I can't keep up with all the service packs and FDE updates etc. But it's a fine model, they did a great job.
