Many thanks to Chris "Lowglow" for sending me the link to his fine repaint of Classics Hangar FW-190 in the livery of ZK-RFR ,..I made some adjustments to make the textures work with the FW-190A-4 Early variant(I dont own the late variant pack),..have also upt the bump map and spec sheets to enhance the detail...might be a bit much..still testing ..

Great stuff.
Adrian you don't think that scheme will lift over to the WOP FS9 plane do you? I have all the variants, lovely model.

thankye gents,..Charl I dont have the WOP FW-190 but i wouldnt think the textures will work for it,..different model, different modeller and different Sim too . The FSX CH FW-190 sets are excellent I can well recommend them although while Ian likes the sound set I thought it was a bit weak ..

Just being lazy really - too much trouble to go get the source material if it's already on a model, I generally copy 'n paste an approximation.
Being FSX it will probably fill up 500 texture sheets so not too easy I suppose.

Dang that bouncy elephant avatar is mesmerising...

hah I know I love that wee bouncing Elefant smile.gif,..Charl the fuselage textures reside on 1 main texture,..can send you it and you can cut n paste to your hearts content biggrin.gif . The sound,..thought the start up was great,..idle not so great but ok as it didnt blend from the startup,..low mid ilel was good but after that it sounded just odd..annoys me when people use a flyby wav file for the high rpm sound as when your accelerating for take off or in outside (chase ?) view it sounds dumb., with sound cones and the such likes of that all FSX payware should be using that technology.....just my opinion tho ..

No my original paint is for the Fw190A-4 early variant Shouldn't have required any modifications to work ?

I have been enjoying flying around this evening in the Avro Anson

And so I have started on my next paint The Reids Anson also based here at Omaka.

weird I have the FW-190A-1,2,2 MGFF, 3,3 MGFF, a3, 4 ,4 MGFF and 4 U7 set and the textures didnt match up either name wise , model wise or part wise,..parts were untextured (otherwise almost everything else was ok )..

Sounds a bit strange, looks like you have the Classics_Hangar_Fw190A-4 folder. As I said to you in the PM I was not responsible for uploading the paint to Flyaway simulations, I don't know who was and I was surprised to see it there but it didn't concern me as they gave me full credit for the paint, but it seems that it may have been changed from my original files. I must download it myself and investigate.

Flyaway Simulations did have a reputation of placing files up without permission and or changing authors names and also putting up pirated files.

You can actually download the elephant gif, and it stays animated!
Now that would drive me crazy, in a corner of the desktop!

PM sent, thanks Adrian.
